MBC: This Year's Anniversary Present

This bag's my second year anniversary present =) To put it romantically, it was love at first sight. Was biou-ing similar bags at Accessories, but couldn't put my finger to any particular one I liked. Then, unexpectantly, I chanced upon the bag at Suntec (fashion section) on our anniversary day. JJ, sweet as ever, bought the bag for me. Half atoning for my bag sins (strictly speaking I didn't BUY the bag since JJ paid for it) and probably half hoping to put a stop to my bag-hoarding spree. I guess I gotta slow down too, as I'm running out of space to keep my bag collection. Kind souls please adopt my bags (labelled 'adoption').

MBC: Bags from Far East Plaza

Went shopping with PMS buddies sometime back, and we scoured the entire basement for bags, shoes and such. We ended up buying 5 bags amongst the 3 of us. Here're the two I got. The first is from this shop (I can't remember the name for now) which has a push kart at Raffles City shopping mall. I like the smart design, brown colour, and brass hardware. The sales girl told us the material is half-leather, so I thought the price was was not bad. For a nice design, and half-leather material, we are paying about $60 to $80 for a bag. Since we are getting 3 bags, we bargained our way to a 5% discount. Alternatively, you could get a membership card and get 10% off.
The last pic showcases my most-chic bag. Thought the green colour and patent material made the bag pretty outstanding. It's quite heavy though, with so many metal parts all over. The zip and buckles made taking stuff out inconvenient, though they are nice to look at. The salesgirl convinced me that it was the only piece around, so do let me know if you see someone carrying it =p Retails at about $60. Check out the store (which has two units facing each other) for many other designs. Spotted quite a few motorcycle and bottega-inspired pieces.

MBC: TomatoCan Pouch

Got this cute jap-style pouch from TomatoCan @ Marina Square some time back. My excuse was I needed something to hold all my barang barang when shopping. And it is really quite handy for shopping occasions. Check out the store for other nice designs and prints.
(RP: ~$13 @ TomatoCan)

MBC: Toscano Red Leather Doctor Bag

It was both excitement and irritation that hit me when I saw the Toscano Eyelets series go on a 50% discount at OG, Bugis (think they are still available). Excitement, because I've never seen a 50% discount on Toscano/Tocco bags, and irritation because I realised I have paid too much for my previous Eyelet bag. Since I liked the Eyelets series alot, I thought should get this red doctor bag too. Rationality has abandoned me, and flew out of my wallet. So did my money.
(RP: $399; DC: $199.50 @ OG)
Now for sale! $80

MBC: Guess Backpack

I was looking for a femine backpack for some time, so when I saw this particular one on a huge discount, it was an euphoric moment. Check out the beautiful prints of the inner lining, the nice hardware and accessories. There is a zip at the side for you to reach into the inside conveniently.
(RP: ~$160; DP: ~$70 @ Isetan Scotts, yes, again)

MBC: Mango Bags

I didn't think much of Mango bags before, but I chanced upon some nice ones on my last shopping trip to Isetan @ Scotts. And they aren't exactly over-priced, unlike some European brands, so I decided to get the two items featured above. The brown tote looks pretty relaxed, some sort of carry-all bag, and has got this soft leather feel I couldn't resist. The pink pouch is great for holding my Sony T100 camera. The pink material goes well with the gold hardware too, making it a classy steal. (Tote goes for $65, and pouch goes for $25, think both are still available in store now).

MBC: Traveling Toiletries Pouch

Love this pouch, would always bring it along for traveling. It's made of cloth material, so you could wash it in the washing machine if it gets dirty (not that it has before). And for about $25 (after discount), it is really value for money. Comes in compartments, and the largest section at the bottom of the pouch holds all your little bottles of shower foam, shampoo, moisturizer etc. Comes with its own hook so you can hang it anywhere in the bathroom. You could keep a lookout for similar pouches at Tea, esp when they have sale.

Some trivial stuff to kickstart the blog

Realised its been about 5 months since I last posted. Lotsa catchup to do on this blog =)

Decided to take some pics other than just bags to kickstart the blog. The first 2 pics feature a hello kitty house I got from a recent Sanrio sale @ Isetan while shopping with colleague HJ (she got hello kitty vcds). The house was an absolute non-essential trivial purchase, and the main reason why i got it was, it is really sweet to look at. I had to think hard what to do with it... and finally decided to use it to keep my gadgets (camera, psp, mp3 etc). It cost around $16, a huge discount from its original retail price of bout $30 plus.

Recently replaced my 3-yr-old PC and freed up some space on my table. The bottom 2 pics show what I've done with some of the space. You can probably tell I have nothing better to do with the space, with the crazy no. of bottles of nail polish in the last pic. Then again, it's quite fun to imagine it as my own diy manicure corner. I refused to let it be messy... sometimes I'll re-arrange the bottles after mom uses them. Yah yah I'm OCB. The nail polish mainly comes from the Faceshop, cos they are really cheap and good (i.e. Value for $!), only $2.90 per bottle. The nail polish remover is surprisingly effective. I'm collecting Bodyshop shower gel for fun too, prob has around 10 small bottles of them in different fragrances. The hoarding behaviour of a Taurus =p
