Design-it-yourself Bags

This bag actually doesn't exist. Well, at least not YET, until I've paid for it would it actually materialize. There are now various DIY (Design-it-yourself) online stores that customizes your very own dream bags. This is a creation from 1154 LILL Studio, an Erika bag with 'Love Spell' prints and 'Pearl Sateen' straps, costing US$140. You can play around with the many fabric designs for both the exterior and interior of the bag. Another DIY online store, Freddy&ma, also offers a huge variety of prints with a choice of leather and hardware. Enjoy making your very own bag!

BS: Tano Bags

I recently came across this brand of bags, which is really really HOT. I mean I'm obsessed with 'biou-ing' bags, but honestly I find many super branded bags ugly. Tano bags are different, looking at their selection, you can't help but want one or two of them. For each design, the bags come in a great variety of colours too. My personal favourites are the Shopper (in brusciato brown) and Sexbomb (in red). Feautured here is the Jet Setter (in brusciato) which I think is already sold out, but what a beauty it is, isn't it?

MBC: Sporty Adidas

This is a new Adidas bag still fresh in the shops. The red is bright and sporty and downright eye-catching. Boy is this attention-seeking or what *lol* Anyway I grabbed the bag because it is selling fast, even though it is not on promotion... the retail price is $39. There is a bigger variation to the design which is also pretty but I liked this one better. The strap is adjustable so you could hang it on your shoulder or across your body. The buttons are pretty unique and overall the quality is great. Heard from the sales girl that is waterproof, but have not verified it yet. Is a good accessory for going outdoors or shopping, but a bit too small as a gym bag.

MBC: Beach Bag

I insisted I had use for this bag when I saw it with a super marked-down price of $2.90. Explanation for buying:"It is GREAT for beach, camping, outdoors or virtually anything else!"
REAL reason for buying:"It is only going for $2.90... I can't think straight!"
But seriously, there is really LOTSA space in this bag, just throw anything in, even your beach volleyball =p

MBC: Lunch Pouchie

This is a little lunch pouch with cool chinese floral prints. The material is pretty smooth and shiny, resembling silk but not really as light as the real thing. It can hold a HP, some $, cards and a pack of tissue paper. My Chinese friend was pretty attracted to it and she said she'll be getting one too! =)

MBC: Green Backpack

Okie I can hear many friends screaming at me for getting this bag. I already have a Jansport backpack, and, it has almost the same design and compartments. My excuse is this particular one is green in colour (okie pretty bad excuse...) and that I bought it on promotion (is this one better? =p) I guess I was mesmerized by the nice checkered pattern on the bag *guilty*. It was only going for $32... good for putting in heavy textbooks ya noe ;p

MBC: Business Bag (sold at flea market)

This is a leather-looking PVC bag, another steal discovered at John's little. It can hold A4 documents and other barang barang. It looks simple and professional enough to carry to work and other serious events. I used it for my recent interview and it goes well with the 'office look'. Although not on discount, it costed only $30, really a value-for-money item. Comes with a mini pouch which you can put your small miscellaneous items in.

MBC: Black Evening Purse

This is another present from my BF. A little black evening bag good for bringing to dinners. The colour and design is quite classic so it will probably go well with most dresses. It can contain a little umbrella, a wallet, HP, tissue paper and a lipstick. Advisable not to squeeze in too much barang barang or the bag will look like it is going to explode.

MBC: Anniversary Gift

This is an anniversary gift from my BF this year. We spotted it at a departmental store and it was love at first sight. However it was only after some days later that I decided to get the bag as it was pretty pricey. And JJ was sweet enough to pay for the bag as an anniversary present =) The craftsmanship was meticulous and it was a good matching up of leather with cloth material. I particularly like the little danglies that came with the bag. Apparently this is a traditional local brandname which doesn't advertise much (or at all). Anyway it comes with lifetime warranty for craftsmanship, even though so I think the bag should be pretty durable.

MBC: Little Waistpouchie

Yet another on-sale item. My.. am I starting to sound like a bargain-crazed shopperholic or what. Anyway this waistpouch was a neccesary purchase at that point in time as I was going overseas, and I needed to carry my passport and valuables with me on the trip. And bingo! this nice grey-pink waistpouch going at only $10. Of course I grabbed it.
*Last photo taken on the trip this year*

MBC: Orange Overnighter

This bright orange bag was found in a bag-and-shoes shop @ Bishan Junction 8. My guy friend commented that the orange is so bright it is blinding =p Anyway it is good as a luggage bag on short trips as it is really pretty sturdy and can carry lotsa stuff despite its flat appearance. Other plus points: waterproof, many compartments, bottom studs (to avoid direct contact when placed on floor). It costed about $30-40 but every dollar is worthed it. I sound like I'm selling the bag... No way! =p

MBC: Red Hot (adopted!)

Another steal from a sale. The retail price was about $90 plus and I paid only about one-third the price. Was attracted by the blood-red colour and overall design and quality. One trick I learnt about choosing bags. Open it and look at the inside zip. Usually how well this is done signifies how good the quality is. I am particularly impressed by those with leather linings (as in this case). Anyway this bag is small and just right for going shopping with.

MBC: Red Dragon (adopted!)

This bag was an impulse purchase =p I was attracted to the red dragon sequin and embroidery. And gold was the 'in' colour then. It was going for $26 so I thought I should grab it then and there. Used it a few times since then, but it isn't really as durable as I have hoped. Nevertheless I like the 'cheena' style =)

MBC: Everyday Tote

This tote bag is a gift from my bro and his gf from their bangkok trip. A really good pick I must say as I fell in love with the colours and overall design immediately. It is really good as an everyday tote, and can contain more stuff than it appears to. The material is pretty thick, meaning it won't sag easily like other bags if it is not full. Amazingly, I have a perfectly-matching pair of sandals to go with it *chuckles*. The craftsmanship is really neat, and I think the interior is almost as pretty as the outside. If only it is a reversible =p

MBC: Little Ape Backpack (sold at flea market)

This has got to be my first 'branded' bag. A little brown kipling backpack that is still available in some department stores today. I bought the bag about 6 years ago while doing a temp job in my pre-uni days. Anyway it was on a crazy sale at 80% percent off and costed about $30. After this I learnt that some sales are worth waiting for, and that some shops do give crazy discounts every now and then (e.g. U2, S&K, ebase etc). So resist the temptation of buying when there are no sales! That is unless if the item is limited in stock =p

MBC: Jansport Backpack (adopted!)

This bag has been with me for several years. Bought it during my uni days with my PMS buddies. I was first attracted to Jansport backpacks after seeing them on an online website, some of the designs were pretty cool back then (though I dunno for now). Then after having spotting it at RSH, I decided to buy it after a long deliberation. I was a very poor student back then, and even after a 20% discount, this bag still set me back by about $40 plus. But it turned out to be a good buy. This durable backpack lasted me through my uni days and could be used as an overnighter on short trips. Look how the front zip unveils some small compartments for pens, wallets and keys. Nice pink too =)
