MBC: Chiong Lesportsac - Sportspo
Many of us love the real thing for its design and exciting cartoon prints. I found this bag (along with some others carrying the Tokidoki design) at a push kart at Bukit Panjang Plaza level 1. It was a pleasant surprise as I've been eye-ing on the chiong lesportsac bags for quite some time online. What held me back was the possible poor quality. However, this chiong-ster has pretty good exterior quality, with a plain white inner lining, and even bothered to paint the zips multi-coloured (as seen from the second picture). Of course it is still nothing compared to the fine details of the real thing. However I'm happy with the shape and design of this foresty bag, and of course the price is a real deal: $19. Comes with a free small pouch.

MBC: Toscano Document Bag
So here it is, my latest splurge. A leather document bag with many bullet holes *lol* When I first saw the bag I really thought it was strange looking... and after looking at it the second, third, fourth, umpteenth time, I realised I have started to like it very much. I must admit the interior was a plus factor too, it is very much like the Tocco bag except this was in maroon (and the other's in pink). The true exterior colour is closer to the second picture under flash light. The inside pouch is detachable, so it doubles as a lunch bag. Well I'm really looking forward to carrying this to my first day of work =p

An unfortunate event... or blessing in disguise?
An unfortunate thing happened to my Tocco bag: one of the brass studs fell off. On the very same day this happened I brought the bag to the Tocco/Toscano section of the Metro departmental store at causeway point to seek help from the promoter auntie whom I know will be able to save the bag. She's really friendly and helpful and actually remembers JJ & I from our previous encounters (okie perhaps we are really talkative customers =p). So my bag is now on its way back to the workshop for repair (re-studding). The possible blessing in disguise is, I found out the bag which I've been eyeing on and deliberating over for quite some time is having a marked-down discount at Metro. Further more, I have discounted Metro vouchers. So overall I'll be able to enjoy a 42% discount off the retail price (yay!). The promoter auntie is helping me to order the bag as my favourite brown colour in the series is not available there. Will post it up on the blog as soon as I lay my hands on it =)

Bags for Adoption!
I figured I should really put some bags out for adoption because:
1. I would use them too rarely
2. they deserve a better home
3. there would a a utility-maximisation.
These are the bags that are still in good, usable condition, and if possible, washed and clean =) So what are u waiting for? Check them out (they are labeled as 'adoption') and leave me a message in this entry (or sms if you have my number) if you are interested in any of them.
These bags have been put aside in a dark lonely corner of my room, awaiting adoption by a kind owner to see the brighter daylight. More bags would probably be added to the selection as I clear them out of the *even darker and lonelier* storeroom.

MBC: Another Guess bag... but not mine!
Yup this is not my bag, but my mom's. Like the previous Guess, the design is loud yet not overbearing. I like the shade of brown and the sophisticated look. It is probably serious enough to bring to work without appearing too flippant. Mom asked during the sale if she should buy the bag, and I said "Yes! Yes! Yes!... You buy and I'll kop to use!"
MBC: Hot Guess?
The other splurge of the day is this HOT Guess shoulder bag I spotted during the Private Sale. I wonder if the designers couldn't think of a good name for their creations thus the name 'Guess' but then we have come to accept it as a brand name rather than to think about the possible lack of naming-creativity. Nevertheless this bag is really hot, and I couldn't bear to let it go after setting my sights on it. So I trudged it along as I did my shopping (it is pretty heavy) and finally decided to buy it (also at 30% off). It'll be pretty good for the casual weekend, especially when I'm feeling lazy to dress up but still wanting to look chic =p
MBC: Tocco Leather Bag
Let's take a closer look at the Tocco leather bag featured in the previous post. Yes I've finally laid my hands on this bag during the Isetan Midyear Sale which has already begun! (Got it at 30% off the tag, courtesy of my brother!) This bag is really roomy, so I'm contemplating using it as even a gym bag to put in my clothes when I start working. Really found the shape of the bag pretty, plus it's made of soft hide, so its very versatille too. I told you the inner lining is in pretty pink right? Such fine lining would usually melt away any resistance against buying the bag.

BS: Caramel Leather Tocco Bag
My obsession for bags has become more serious recently. Probably due to my increasing stress level =p But anyway, I found this very classic Tocco (by Toscano) leather bag in caramel colour. There's something about the bag's simplicity and refineness that captured my heart. The bag's really roomy too, big enough for A4 size documents, and maybe even a small laptop. Fuchsia-coloured inner lining, leather-rimmed inner compartments, gold hardware, magnetic clasps for outer pockets. Right size, right length... ahhh... what more can I ask for in a bag?

MBC: Another Birthday Present!
I am blessed with the company of people with good taste in bags. First a nice clutch bag, then this, a cream satchel bag from my brother's GF. The bag is from River Island, a European fashion brand which just recently entered Singapore. The front pocket of this bag adds much style to the overall look. I think the bag will go well with almost anything in my wardrobe. Tried teaming up the bag with my jacket, and they look happy together =p

MBC: Floral Clutch
My birthday present from JJ's sis =) A pretty floral print clutch, something I've wanted to get but didn't come across in my shopping. The smooth-shiny material and the bright flowers are out to grab attention, cool to bring to parties =p It comes with two detachable straps (in matching pink) so you could hang the bag on the shoulder.
MBC: Red Stud (for adoption)
RED again. This bag was a huge mark down item during a metro sale. It is the kind of bag that looks so-so on display, but nice when being carried. A pretty cool studded shopping bag that I imagine myself chucking around on casual days. And it is really really value-for-money. Count the number of studs on the bag, and divide $15.90 with that figure.

Design-it-yourself Bags
This bag actually doesn't exist. Well, at least not YET, until I've paid for it would it actually materialize. There are now various DIY (Design-it-yourself) online stores that customizes your very own dream bags. This is a creation from 1154 LILL Studio, an Erika bag with 'Love Spell' prints and 'Pearl Sateen' straps, costing US$140. You can play around with the many fabric designs for both the exterior and interior of the bag. Another DIY online store, Freddy&ma, also offers a huge variety of prints with a choice of leather and hardware. Enjoy making your very own bag!

BS: Tano Bags
I recently came across this brand of bags, which is really really HOT. I mean I'm obsessed with 'biou-ing' bags, but honestly I find many super branded bags ugly. Tano bags are different, looking at their selection, you can't help but want one or two of them. For each design, the bags come in a great variety of colours too. My personal favourites are the Shopper (in brusciato brown) and Sexbomb (in red). Feautured here is the Jet Setter (in brusciato) which I think is already sold out, but what a beauty it is, isn't it?

MBC: Sporty Adidas
This is a new Adidas bag still fresh in the shops. The red is bright and sporty and downright eye-catching. Boy is this attention-seeking or what *lol* Anyway I grabbed the bag because it is selling fast, even though it is not on promotion... the retail price is $39. There is a bigger variation to the design which is also pretty but I liked this one better. The strap is adjustable so you could hang it on your shoulder or across your body. The buttons are pretty unique and overall the quality is great. Heard from the sales girl that is waterproof, but have not verified it yet. Is a good accessory for going outdoors or shopping, but a bit too small as a gym bag.
MBC: Beach Bag
I insisted I had use for this bag when I saw it with a super marked-down price of $2.90. Explanation for buying:"It is GREAT for beach, camping, outdoors or virtually anything else!"
REAL reason for buying:"It is only going for $2.90... I can't think straight!"
But seriously, there is really LOTSA space in this bag, just throw anything in, even your beach volleyball =p
MBC: Lunch Pouchie
This is a little lunch pouch with cool chinese floral prints. The material is pretty smooth and shiny, resembling silk but not really as light as the real thing. It can hold a HP, some $, cards and a pack of tissue paper. My Chinese friend was pretty attracted to it and she said she'll be getting one too! =)
MBC: Green Backpack
Okie I can hear many friends screaming at me for getting this bag. I already have a Jansport backpack, and, it has almost the same design and compartments. My excuse is this particular one is green in colour (okie pretty bad excuse...) and that I bought it on promotion (is this one better? =p) I guess I was mesmerized by the nice checkered pattern on the bag *guilty*. It was only going for $32... good for putting in heavy textbooks ya noe ;p
MBC: Business Bag (sold at flea market)
This is a leather-looking PVC bag, another steal discovered at John's little. It can hold A4 documents and other barang barang. It looks simple and professional enough to carry to work and other serious events. I used it for my recent interview and it goes well with the 'office look'. Although not on discount, it costed only $30, really a value-for-money item. Comes with a mini pouch which you can put your small miscellaneous items in.
MBC: Black Evening Purse
This is another present from my BF. A little black evening bag good for bringing to dinners. The colour and design is quite classic so it will probably go well with most dresses. It can contain a little umbrella, a wallet, HP, tissue paper and a lipstick. Advisable not to squeeze in too much barang barang or the bag will look like it is going to explode.
MBC: Anniversary Gift
This is an anniversary gift from my BF this year. We spotted it at a departmental store and it was love at first sight. However it was only after some days later that I decided to get the bag as it was pretty pricey. And JJ was sweet enough to pay for the bag as an anniversary present =) The craftsmanship was meticulous and it was a good matching up of leather with cloth material. I particularly like the little danglies that came with the bag. Apparently this is a traditional local brandname which doesn't advertise much (or at all). Anyway it comes with lifetime warranty for craftsmanship, even though so I think the bag should be pretty durable.
MBC: Little Waistpouchie
Yet another on-sale item. My.. am I starting to sound like a bargain-crazed shopperholic or what. Anyway this waistpouch was a neccesary purchase at that point in time as I was going overseas, and I needed to carry my passport and valuables with me on the trip. And bingo! this nice grey-pink waistpouch going at only $10. Of course I grabbed it.
*Last photo taken on the trip this year*
MBC: Orange Overnighter
This bright orange bag was found in a bag-and-shoes shop @ Bishan Junction 8. My guy friend commented that the orange is so bright it is blinding =p Anyway it is good as a luggage bag on short trips as it is really pretty sturdy and can carry lotsa stuff despite its flat appearance. Other plus points: waterproof, many compartments, bottom studs (to avoid direct contact when placed on floor). It costed about $30-40 but every dollar is worthed it. I sound like I'm selling the bag... No way! =p
MBC: Red Hot (adopted!)
Another steal from a sale. The retail price was about $90 plus and I paid only about one-third the price. Was attracted by the blood-red colour and overall design and quality. One trick I learnt about choosing bags. Open it and look at the inside zip. Usually how well this is done signifies how good the quality is. I am particularly impressed by those with leather linings (as in this case). Anyway this bag is small and just right for going shopping with.

MBC: Red Dragon (adopted!)
This bag was an impulse purchase =p I was attracted to the red dragon sequin and embroidery. And gold was the 'in' colour then. It was going for $26 so I thought I should grab it then and there. Used it a few times since then, but it isn't really as durable as I have hoped. Nevertheless I like the 'cheena' style =)
